Hector is the prince of Troy who is extremely brave and responsible. In the movie, he has two choices. One is keeping fighting for his country, his people, and his family until he dies. The other is succumb to his enemy or step back from the war so that he escapes from death and stays with his family. Hector chooses the first choice without hesitation. As he said in the movie, he has lived by a code in his whole life, honor the gods, never hurt women and children, and defend his country. He never thinks about yielding to the enemy even at the worst time.
I reckon that Hector has many good qualities. He is very loyal, to his family and to his country. He refused to betray his wife when another person puts him to. He considers Troy as the mother to all Trojans and always ready to fight for her if anyone tries to offend her. Besides, he knows it is meaningful and significant to respect his opponent. When he kills a young boy because he mistakenly thinks Archilles’ cousin is Archilles, he decides to suspend offensive. He feels upset and shows his mercy to the young boy, even though the boy is his enemy and it can strike Archilles.
Archilles
Archilles is a great hero, the son of ocean goddess Thetis. He is also facing his life choice in the movie. The first choice is to find a wonderful woman and has his sons and daughters while his name will be forgotten by history. The second choice is to keep fighting for glory and to grain victory so that the world will remember him. In the beginning, he chooses to fight for glory firmly. However, it seems that his choice was shaken by a girl and his cousin.
Personally, I think Archilles has many good qualities too, but he still has room to grow. In this movie, I can recognize his growth. He is confident but arrogant mainly because of his super strength. He is so confident that he leads only a small group of soldiers to attack Troy. He shows his contempt for the king of king unabashedly and never obey orders. Archilles insists to fight for himself and fight for glory instead of fight for people or country. Besides, he is very self-conscious and brave. In the movie, he ruins the statue of Apollo and be rude to god. He thinks that die in today is not different from dying 50 years later. The most important is being remembered by the time. The reason why I think Archilles has room to grow is the lack of the ability to love, the ability to be mercy, and the ability to respect others. But fortunately, he grains these abilities in the end. Briseis teaches him how to love, Priam guides him to be mercy, Hector tells him to show his respect even to his enemy.
Both Hector and Archilles are the heros who ended in tragedy. While their belief is totally different. Hector wants to realize peace so he has to fight and he thinks fight for honor is ridiculous. On the contrary, Archilles fight to make his name remain. I do suppose it is hard to judge who made the wiser choice. But in my view, Hector‘s thoughts and actions seem more mature and cautious.
Hector could have chosen to save his life by refusing to fight Achilles to the death. But he fought head-on against Achilles to defend the safety and honor of his family and country. And Achilles was the same as Hector , he could have put himself out of the war, but he chose to fight Hector to the death in order to avenge his loved ones.
They could all have chosen an easier life, but they both chose the harder path for what was important to them. I think that's what makes them heroes, heroes are people who never worry about how difficult the path that they choose is, they're just afraid of not being able to insist on what they love, of not being able to follow their heart and live and fight for justice in their heart. So I think the multiple-choice question that the heroes are faced with is only having one option, because they already have the answer in their mind .
The large-scale ancient Greek epic-- Iliad mainly describes the 10-year war between Troy and Greece, with the focus on the 50 days before the end of the war. In this 10-year battle, heroes with distinctive images and distinctive personalities have presented, such as Achilles and Hector.
Achilles is the son of the goddess Thetis and the hero Peleus, he is one of the most powerful hero of Greek. Even he knew that he will die in the war at a young age, and he can choose to live in the palace safely forever, he still chooses to join the war and become an excellent warrior. Similar as Achilles, Hector is the prince of Troy, he can choose to live comfortably as his younger brother, however, he chooses to become the protector of his country, and undertake the responsibility of his father.
In my opinion, Achilles is brave, kind and cherish the friendship, however, he is Impulsive and irritated which lead to his bad ending. He doesn’t realize that Hector killed his best friends just for ending the war quickly and protect his country, and he killed Hector for his own interest. In the contrast, Hector is more responsible, when his wife begged him to quit the battle, he said if he escapes, he will have no dignity in front of his country. In his mind, able to face the reality, brave and tenacious, and always fight with the soldier of Troy, is the best thing for him.

Hector and Archilles chose to fight rather than escape in the face of war. But Hector is to protect his family and country. Archilles is to protect his dignity and honor. In the end, Hector died under Archilles, who was also calculated to die. I think they are very brave, not afraid of war and death. Archilles attaches great importance to dignity and friendship. He has many aspects of personality, including gentleness, righteousness and cruelty. He is real. And Hector is loyal, fraternal and more responsible. He valued love and righteousness, loved his relatives deeply, and was noble and fearless. He is a perfect hero. But they all showed their own light and value in the Trojan War.
Hector
Hector has two choices. One is to be a good husband, father and son, to be an ordinary, carefree prince. On the contrary, his second choice is difficult. It takes a lot of courage to take on the responsibility of defending his country and fight for it. In the end, he chose the second path that required a lot of effort. Achilles
Achilles also faces two choices between choosing his current safe life and avenging his best friend. Finally, he chose the second way to take the hard work.
Hector is the prince of Troy, handsome and brave. He is a great hero in Homer's epic. He is bold, thoughtful and compassionate. When Archilles went to Troy to challenge him, Hector knew that the day would come. He said goodbye peacefully to his father, wife and brother and knew that his battle might be doomed. This kind of courage not afraid of life and death may only be possessed by warriors who have experienced hundreds of battles.
Achilles is the son of the sea goddess Thetis and the mortal hero Peleus. He is invulnerable because of being immersed in the river Styx. It can also be said that he is a demigod. He is brave and warlike. He compared himself to a fierce lion. In addition to revenge, he hoped to be famous forever.
They all bravely and firmly chose the difficult road. In their fight, no one flinched. They were all fighting for their own goals. Hector needed to defend his family, his wife and Achilles needed to revenge for his friends. Although fighting means possible casualties, no one wants to give up. It was an admirable battle and they are respected fighters in the war.
In the clip, Hector faces the dilemma of whether to fight against Achilles. As the prince of Troy, Hector chooses to honor the gods, defend his country and fight for his people, even he knows that he will sacrifice for this. He’s the real hero, satisfying all my imagination of heroic character. Although he is defeated by Achilles, he shows the fearless and emotional spirit and wins the glory of a soldier.
Achilles faces the dilemma of whether to fight against Troy. Before going to Troy, His mother, the goddess of the sea, used to told him that he would face two completely different fates. One is to evade. in this way, Achilles will live a long life, but finally he will be forgotten by people. The other is to go to war. He will win glory and be admired by people. But he will lose his life for it. Achilles chooses the second one. I think he is brave. Maybe his choice is costly, but his life is meaningful and glorious.
Achilles is a strong and brave soldier who eventually gives up the peaceful life but decides to vows revenge for his cousin's death. Just as his mother Thetis tells, though he will die, he will be forever glorified. Compared to Achilles, Hector seems like a perfect hero whose life can be simply described as a desire to worship god, protect his family and fight for his country. He doesn’t choose to stay alive, he duels with Achilles bravely instead, even though he is killed at last.
From my perspective, Hector is like a mirror for Achilles. Achilles is nada, he doesn’t know the meaning of his existence. And it’s Hector who helps him recognizes the truth. He understands that he must pay the price for what he have done. He have killed so many brothers and relatives without mercy, simply for his own glory. He already have become the same kind of man whom he used to hate. In conclusion, both of their lives are tragedies. Achilles’s tragedy lies in the conflict between the inchoate fate and his internal struggle. Achilles is destined to be a warrior whose sole purpose is to live for the glory of war. As for Hector’s, he gives up his life for his country and family. After mistakenly killing Achilles' cousin, he accepted the challenge then died. Luckily, both of them dies without anything to regret.
Both of them all face easy freedom or life challenge.
Archilles
A happy and peaceful life together with his family;
For the honor coming with the cruel war.
Hector:
Just be a free prince who likes hanging out all the time;
As a presentative of a nation, or a master of the family, he need to shoulder all the responsibility he deserved.
Conclusion: They all choose a different and difficult life. For Hector, a prince and king's beloved son, the country (in one ways, is the identity) gives him the honor, and the cost is as many constraints as a royal need to sacrifice. Eventually, he chose to risk his own life to fight with Archilles for achieve his dream, honor, self-esteem. He died for the complete of his dream. Other side, for Archilles, he finally chose to live a different life from his mother's wish. Begin from taking revenge on the killer of his close friend, he got the honor as well as the death in the end.
My feeling: Each one in this world is motal, that is to die in one day. One just live for life, otherwise live for something. If I were them, I would try every effort to fight for myself, fight for the honor, fight for my own dream rather than live without anything.
When Hector ’s wife Andromache begged him to quit the battlefield, he calmly and firmly refused.Faced with the precarious situation, looking at the distressed wife and young children, Hector must be quite reluctant. But, as he said himself, he must be killed. If he escapes, he will have no place in front of the women, and his mind does not agree with him. In his mind, being able to face reality, being brave and tenacious, and fighting with the Trojans in the front row forever is the behavior of a strong man.Even if he knew that it was a war doomed to failure, but for the tribe, the people, and his loved ones, he resolutely took the step forward. In the face of the security of his family and the country, he chose the country, fought for peace in the two countries, and was eventually killed by Achilles.
Achilles was loyal to his friend. When Patroclus was killed by Hector, he sincerely deplored the sacrifice of Patroclus and was determined to avenge him.So when Hector promised that "If I win, then I will only take off your armor and return your corpse to you Greeks, and you should treat me the same" ,He rejected the negotiation and brutally killed Hector and dragged his body with a chariot, finally arrogantly left Troy.In fact, if it is not because of his serious love, he can not kill Hector in exchange for peace between the two countries and prevent more casualties.
Hector is a brave and affectionate hero. He is a hero with a high image of dignity, honor and responsibility. He is the only warrior in the entire film who presents to us in the eyes of a perfect hero from the moment he is told until he falls. He is a hero of Troy, an uncompromising hero, a hero living in a tragic world! Tragedy is the destruction of beautiful things to people! Hector, who has such an image close to a perfect hero, is what makes us heartbroken, and is the most tragic plot of the film. When he knew he was going to be the soul of Achilles under the gun, he still walked out of the gate of Troy alone and duel. His courage was not a momentary impulse and blood, but the result of painful thinking and rational choice. It was the final decision to know the end without beginning, and still face death calmly. He is a hero, a hero who acts brilliantly.
After his friend Patroclus was killed by Hector, he re-armed into the battlefield with anger, killed Hector, and tied his body to the chariot to drive and march. After his friend Antilocos was killed by Mennon, Achilles immediately rushed to Mennon to avenge him and kill his opponent. Although this is a manifestation of Achilles' brutality, it is also a manifestation of his loyalty to friends. Therefore, Achilles is a brave and loyal person who is loyal to his friends. After he killed Hector, he dragged his body to insult, and the complexity of human nature gave him a heart of concealment, so he asked Hector ’s father to return his son ’s body and promised a truce. The image of a hero with a complex and profound temperament suddenly appeared. But in the final analysis, under the mask of his brave hero, he is a compassionate and kind person.
Hector killed Archilles's friend Patroclus so Archilles feel very angry. He decided to challenge with Hector.Although Hector could refuse because he has his own army,he finally accept this fighting to protect his honor and dignity.eventually,Archilles won, which shows his royal to his friend. He do what he thinks is right. For Hector,Hector is also very brave,he is not afraid of the death and fight at the last moment. Both of them should be respected.
Hector, the prince and warrior of Troy, he faced a choice between living peacefully and fighting for his country. In the face of a precipitous situation, with a distraught wife and young children, Hector must have felt rather desperate. But, he said to himself, he must be killed, and if he fled, his heart would not consent to it.In his mind, to be able to face the reality, brave and tenacious, always with the front row of Troy to fight together, is the behavior of a strong man, He traded his life for Troy's dignity.
Achilles was the most powerful hero of the Greek allied forces during the Trojan war. he faced a choice between living peacefully and fighting for his own honor. He went to war only for his fame and glory, not for the people and the country, but Achilles cherishes friendship and does anything for friends. When Patroclus is killed by Hector, he sincerely regrets the sacrifice of Patroclus and is determined to avenge him. Even though his shortcomings hindered his progress, he still grew up in the war. Consequently, they all have qualities that I can learn from.
Hector faced the challenge of running away so that he can stay alive and fighting to death. Finally, he resolutely chose to fight for the country, the people and his family to death.
Facing the precipitous situation and looking at his worried wife and young children, Hector must be very reluctant. As he said, he must be killed. If he escapes, he will be helpless in front of women, and his mind will not agree with him. In his mind, to be able to face the reality, be brave and tenacious, and always fight with the strong courage of Troy in the front row is the behavior of the strong man. Hector is a brave and tall hero. At present, even though he knew that it was a war doomed to failure, he resolutely took the steps forward for the sake of the tribe, the people and the family members, without hesitation and calm.
Achilles faced a similar choice: to live in peace or to fight for honor on the battlefield. He made the similar choice as Hector.
Achilles did not fear death to enter the battlefield because he regarded bravery as the highest honor and thought that the cowardly was "a worthless burden on the earth". He loves his own nation, but if the honor and dignity of an individual are hurt, the maintenance of such honor and dignity will rise to the first place
Both Hector and Achilles are the heroes in the Trojan War,regardless whoever they fought for or whatever their attitude towards this war.
While Hector chose to fight for his country and his people, Achilles fought for his own hero. For Hector, both the victory and the well-beings of his nation are the priority based on his enormous patriotic and emulative feelings. It is such personality that can only become the invulnerable backup supporting him to fight without hesitation.
As for Achilles,he could have stayed away from this war, but eventually he chose to fight for his friend Patrolus who died during the war.In other words, the incentive for him is commit a avenge for his friend, which shows his true disposition indeed values the friendship.Without so much consideration as Hector was, he defeated Hector and won the war.
Hector fight against with Archilles, but they fight for different things.
Hector fight for his country and people. Maybe he could choose to stay in his country and keep alive. But he didn’t do it. I think it's not just he thinks he was strong enough,he fight for his belief.
Archilles was special. He didn’t defeat in war. In trojan war, he fight for his friend Patroclus, because his friend was killed by Hector in this war. Although his reason was personal, he was a hero too. He visited his friend important. It was moving.
Hector is a responsible man. He could choose not to fight and he would die like that. But he chose to fight for his wife and brother, he wanted to defend his coutry. Maybe he knew he will die and he didn't flinch. So he is a brave man, too.
As for archilles, he is a stonge people and he had no weakness. He is brave. He didn't need to jion this war, but he want to defend his coutry and `take avengeance for his friends.
Hector was the prince of Troy, and he could have enjoyed a good life. His life also faces two different choices. One is to fight against Achilles for the sake of the citizens and their families. The other is to give up the war and run away and stay with his family forever. But he finally chose to face the war directly.
During the Trojan War, Hector led the Trojan army to repel the Greek allied army several times, which made the Greek soldiers very scared. But in the face of Achilles' body, he finally failed.
In contrast, Achilles could have lived a superior life, but he finally chose to fight for glory. Because of the loss of the protection of his feet, Achilles was finally killed by a poisonous arrow.
The final outcome of these two heroes is tragic. They both lost their lives, but they finally chose to fight for their beliefs.
Hector is a typical hero fighting for his country. In contemporary view, it still has a lot of positive significance. His spirit of sacrificing himself to fulfill everyone is still admired by people. In the face of the power of Achilles, although he had felt fear, he never backed down. He must be a brave, resolute and firm man.
As for Achilles, his character is distinct and multifaceted, and his image embodies the characteristics of heroes in ancient Greek clan society. He won every battle in the battlefield, killed countless heroes of Troy, and became a nightmare of Troy. Achilles did not fear death because he regarded bravery as the highest honor. He values his honor very much.
Personally, I like Hector better. His spirit of fearlessness and self sacrifice greatly touched me. The two of them have different starting points. One is for everyone and the other is for honor. But chasing fame and wealth is not necessarily the best, so I prefer Hector.
Achilles was a hero in ancient Greek mythology. Before the Trojan War, his mother hid him in all ways and did not want him to join the war. But Achilles eventually chose to follow the Greek forces. On his way out, he argued with Odysseus, and Achilles chose not to go out. But seeing his brother disguised as himself and killed, Achilles could no longer help but appear on the battlefield and defeat Hector, leading the Greek coalition to victory in the Trojan War.
Hector was Achilles' greatest opponent in the Trojan War. He was brave and affectionate. He was a man who didn't like war, but was willing to stand up for his homeland, knowing that the city could not be lost.
Hector chose to fight for his country.
Hector is the kind of hero that the modern people yearn for: brave and good at war, noble and calm, loyal and loving to the country, especially good to the family, caring for the family, fearing death, hoping for peace, but willing to fight for the defense of the country. His performance in the battle is the most amazing. Maybe he is not the strongest fighter, but his tenacity and spirit are shown in every sword swing.
Achilles chose to fight for himself and his friends.
After Hector killed Achilles' best friend, Achilles was angry and vowed to avenge his friend. He is very righteous and cherishes friendship, which also embodies the warm and kind side of his character. Besides, he is also brave and irascible. He is an individualistic heroine, which can be seen from his arrogant drag Hector's body to show off in the city after killing him. I don't like such a violent person very much.
Hector is the prince of Troy, who has a happy family . He was facing the dilemma of whether to survive and have a wealthy life or enter into a war to protect his family and honor the country. Finally, he chose to duel with Achilles. He is strong, responsible and brave.
Achilles
Achilles is the son of Thetis and Peleus, who could have lived a superior life. His best friend was killed by Hector in the Troy War. He can choose to calm down and live a wealthy life. Instead of cowering, he stood out to fight for the honor of god and his friend. He is affectionate and brave.
Hector once said to Paris, "You're my brother and I love you. But if you do anything to endanger Troy. I will rip your pretty face from your pretty skull." As a brother, he took the guilt. As the nation's warrior and leader, he finally chose to fight. However as a loving husband and a devoted father, he give up a peaceful and happy life with his wife and son. From the moment he promised to take the consequences of Paris's actions, he knew Troy's fate and his destiny. To let his soldiers understand the dignity of a man, he said "Honor the gods, love your women, and defend your country!" In an era of militancy, he hated war and death. Faced with choices, he fought for the dignity of his country. He is a true Trojan hero and his name will never die.
Hector fought for his country, his people and his family while Achilles mostly fought for his own honor.
Hector is one of the greatest heroes of Troy.He refused to out of war and said that it is glorious to fight for Troy and he won't allow himself to run away cowardly. As a fighter, he decided to fight with Achilles in front of the gate rather than escape. Everything he did is for his country and people but not himself. He is a hero for himself, his family, his country and his people. Achilles knew what he was fighting for, first for the glory of Greece, then against Hector for the loss of his kin, and finally against Agamemnon for the protection of his lover. A true warrior is never one who is fearless, but one who knows what he is truly afraid of. I think that's what heroes look like in westerner's eyes.
Just as Thetis say, if Achilles stay, he will live a peaceful life, find a wonderful woman and have sons and daughters who love him. If Achilles go to Troy, he will gain honor and his name will be remembered forever. But if he serve in this war, he will never come home. Achilles was destined to be a warrior and finally he chose to fight. He never obey Agamemnon’s order and he never like to fight for Greek or selfish desire. Actually he become the kind of people he look down upon. “We’ll meet again soon, my brother”, he said to Hector’s body. Achilles had killed many people’s brothers, husband and relatives. And he finally realized that he should pay the price for his arrogance.
In the movie Troy, they took off the helmet at the very first time and fought to win or die. After fighting at close quarters, they embarked throwing the shield and a gloomy battle ensued. In the end, Hector was completely exhausted exerting himself to fight but got mortal stab wounds by Achilles.
Hector:
Choice: Hector faced the choices between living as a princess with supreme power and fighting for his country, he chose the latter.
In fact, from my perspective, when he chose to fight, what he faced is not normal and fair, he fought with the superpowers of several gods and goddesses as he was a mortal virtually. He was indomitable and accountable. As we all see, he fought for his family, his country and subjects of his kingdom letting go of all the comfortable life and dared to do this solo battle. But he was vicious and deserved his death for killing Achilles’s best friend as well.
Achilles:
Choice: Achilles faced the choices between living a peaceful life and revenging for his dead friend and honor.
I deem that Achilles was a man of love and righteousness for sparing no effort to avenge for his dead friend. He did much for his friend and the divine honor at the bottom of his heart. It is difficult to judge him just by his action but both incentive and experience. He accepted the fate and gift from the gods and goddesses killing a person for his friend. It is also vicious, reckless and naïve generally. He should have thought twice about a person’s vivid and brisk life. But he was blinded by death of his friend. His action can be interpreted in many facets. So in my opinion, he is round for his ruthlessness and heavy sentiment.
They were boththe heroes of the Trojan war, which were born in different countries and fought for their countries in the Trojan war. But they could have lived the rest of their lives happily without participating in the war. I think that they knew the dangers of war, but they still chose to battle with courage and determination. They fully embody the heroism, which should be highly praised.
Hector is one of Troy's greatest heroes. He rejected his wife's request to withdraw from the war and said it was glorious to fight for Troy. He would not let himself run away timidly. Besides, he is a responsible person. As an older brother, when his brother brought Helen to Troy, he bravely resisted the attacks of the Greeks instead of blaming his brother. Moreover , as a fighter, he decided to fight Achilles in front of the gate instead of escaping. Everything he does is for his country and people, not himself. He is a real hero.
On the contrary, even Achilles is also a hero who is brave and good at war. However, the fight of Achilles was mainly for himself. When he knew that his best friend Patroclus had died, he was very angry and immediately went to Hector to avenge Patroclus. Even knowing the oracle that death will ensue if he kill the prince of Troy, he still chose to revenge for his beloved friend Patroclus.
All in all, the same thing between the both is that they choose the more difficult choice, although they know that they could have live happily, they still take steps to face the fear of the future which means the price of life, because they know that these means theirs value and existence.
Achilles and Hector both are the heroes of the Trojan War. But they are very different in many points.
Hector had a happy family and wealthy life. But he still choose to fight for his country and people. As for Achilles, he is really good at war and brave. In this war, he mainly fight for himself. And Achilles is always a man controlled by his rage. Before the battle between Hector and Achilles, Hector is in a more reasonable state of mind, and Achilles, and it is understandable, is enraged by the fact that his cousin Patroclus has been slain by Hector. Thus, Hector suggests that whomever wins the battle let the loser’s family and friends be able to take the body back so that it can be burned respectfully, which shows Hector repects life and rival but Achilles does not.
It's a pity that Hector has already understood his destiny. Hector is the first warrior of Troy, the commander of Troy in the Trojan War. Finally, he dueled with Achilles, the first warrior of the Greek allied army, and died in the hands of the other side because of the ruling and fate of the gods. When everyone complained about Helen's beauty, only Hector appeared for her. Because he knew that the war was just a game of the gods, whether Helen or Paris, it was just a piece of chess in their hands.
Hector is not only a mortal who is completed by fate and tragedy, love and blood, but also a tragic hero forged by fierce battle and limited life. He was tempered in the war of life and death, showing his determination not to give up the war of resistance and self-examination even under the most intense conditions.
However, although Achilles killed Hector, he was also for his friend, a friend killed by Hector. This just reflects that Achilles is a brave, good at war and loyal to his friends. It is worth lamenting that the understanding and pursuit of personal honor by Achilles should also be one of the reasons leading to his final fate.
They are all great giant in the history and crowned with eternal glory. Hector chose to defend the country even if he dreamt of living an idyllic life, accompanying her wife and bringing up the child. As for Archilles, when facing the dilemma about going out to Troy for fight, which endued him with everlasting glory, composed and passd on his stories hundreds of thousands of years, and made him remembered, or staying at Lotisa, live a more peaceful and leisurely life, lost his name after dying, he chose the former without hesitation. And when he could have avoided the war and go back home safely, he chose to get in Troy with the only purpose of finding and protecting his lover Bresis. They make the same kind of choice, although they are two kind of hero, in a way.
Hector and Archilles had different disposition. To begin with Hector, he is brave, loyal, strategic, kind, respectful and merciful. When his country was under attack, he charged forward, promised to guard the country and its citizens, commanded soldiers and defeat the enemy dedicatedly. Before the attack towards the Troy, he inspired the soldier and himself with the code “honor the god, love woman, defend the country”. Seeing his brother Paris was too weak and scared to strike back, he encouraged him to be brave and concentrated, stepped forward ending the opponent’s life to protect him. Later, when he made a manslaughter, took Archillies’ cousin as him, he felt guilty for it and bravely take the challenge from Archillies. Not only he paid attention to the interests of the whole, but also he cared for family, telling his wife the hiding place to ensure their security the night before the revenge. Moreover, it is so merciful and kind of him to put himself in other’s shoes, although he experienced cruel wars for years, made and witnessed countless kill and death, he was empathetic with sacrificial men who were sons, husbands and fathers, even the one who was the enemy’s cousin. Both his feats and merits crowned him glory, made him extolled to nowadays. Then, Archillies, who was different from temperate Hector, was also brave and stoic, but more outrageous, ambitious, cold-blooded in a way, wild and intractable, to his eyes there is nobody. He is born to be a warrior. He killed people without guilty or mercy, just for his glory. He showed no loyalty to his country just fight for himself. However, just as he said that he didn’t stand for somebody, he represents the whole Greek, it’s his pride and responsibility to fight for all soldiers and their family. Just as what he did that he showed great respect to Hector and kept promise for twelve days of peace, he protected and cared for Bresis, he is also a man of perseverance, tenderness and consideration.
Undoubtedly, they are distinctly different characters, nevertheless, they have commonalities. One is their bravery, valiance, ambition, kindness and ambition, the other is the same choice they make between enjoying peaceful life and undertaking arduous journey. As the old saying “one can be destroyed, but cannot be defeated. They are heroes of the era because they were not confined to temporary life, they kept exploring and discovering the purposes of their life, create immortality regardless of the tremendous hard work, physical and mental pain, even sacrifice. They are not defined by their identities, by whether they are born to be prince or warrior, they are defined by their deeds, protect their loves and defend the country. It is their courageous choice, fearless attitude, valiant actions, considerate heart, great dedication that continue their epic. Their glory deserves to be known, praised and passed from generation to generation. Their names, achievements and spirit will never die and last through the ages.
They could have chosen not to go to war but they did. Hector kills a friend of Achilles, and Achilles is trying to avenge his friend. Finally, Achilles won.
They fought for their faith, for their friendship, for their country. Maybe it makes sense to them, that's what survival is all about.
In this movie, the two most impressive men are Hecktor and Achilles, both of whom are awesome heroes and the real god of war in ancient Greek mythology. Similarly, they both faced two kinds of selectors in the movie, and both chose the more difficult one.
I prefer Hecktor. Although Hecktor was finally killed by Achilles, he still won more people's love. He is a perfect man with a broad and selfless love. He loves his country and people, loves every inch of land and vegetation in Troy, loves his father and brother, loves his wife and son, and he is willing to give his life for anyone and anything he loves. Of course, Achilles is a brave man, with a strong and attractive physique and handsome and charming appearance, but also has a special tactical skills and superhuman ingenuity.
