The old and established the custom of giving a small gift in a business meeting may still be practiced in many Egyptian businesses today. It's important not to select a business gift that is too expensive. As this may cause embarrassment. In China, perhaps the more expensive the gift you give, the more likely you will be to succeed.

The differences and similarities between Egyptian culture and Emirati culture.

    Differences:

1.In the UAE, we should address the Emirati couterparts with the appropriate titles followed by the first name.

In Egypt, on the contrary, we should use their title followed by their surname.

2.Egypt is predominantly Muslim, with which accounting for about 90% of the population.

While, Islam is the official and majority religion and influences almost every aspect of life in UAE.

    The similarities:

    3. In UAE,family and freinds come before anything else.

Loyalty and family pride take precedence over all social relationships in Egyp.

Egypt is predominally Muslim, with which accounting for about 90% of the population. However, in China fewer people are religious and the virieties of relagions are more. In Egypt there is an enormous gap between the very whealthy and the very poor, which is similar in India, but it's pretty different from the situation in China because the nation works very hard to narrow the gap.

1.From the perspective of culture, Chinese culture is multi-ethnic, and Chinese culture is composed of multi-ethnic groups in the long-term development and integration, while Egyptian culture is single, but both of them have a long cultural history.

2.In terms of architecture, most of China's architectural culture is made of wood, while in Egypt, stone is used for building.

3.From the perspective of power and leadership, the power of the pharaohs was limited to secular power, while the divine power was controlled by the priestly class. At the same time, the power of the pharaohs and their ministers was relative, not absolute. China is different. There is no special priestly class in China, and the so-called theocracy is just one kind of the emperor's power.

Unlike the Chinese, who see punctuality as a sign of respect, the egyptians rarely act on the appointed time, often verbally saying "please wait five minutes." What the egyptians call five minutes can be 30 minutes without seeing anyone.

In China, if a subordinate makes an appointment with a superior, it is regarded as an act of disrespect for the leader if the subordinate is late or breaks the appointment. It is also a common cause of anger in Germany, where people are known for being punctual.

The so-called 5 minutes of the Egyptians may not be seen in 30 minutes. In China, if a subordinate is dating a superior, and the subordinate is late or makes an appointment, it will be regarded as an act of disrespect for leadership. In Germany, this often causes others to get angry. Germans are known for being on time.

Similarity:As the representatives of ancient splendid civilizations, Egyptian civilization and ancient Chinese civilization have had a huge impact on the progress of human civilization. Both are also among the birthplaces of the four civilizations of mankind. They all formed their own words and written the same way: ancient Egypt produced hieroglyphs written on papyrus, and Chinese civilization produced Chinese characters. Ancient Egyptian writing format is similar to ancient Chinese writing from right to left and from top to bottom.
