There are many similarities between Chinese culture and Japanese culture because it's universally acknowledged that ancient Japan used to attach great significance to learning from China especially in the tang dynasty.Such as tea culture, the Confucianism,Chinese characters, food and some of the core values.

Japanese characters are formed by learning Chinese characters. Meanwhile, Japanese calligraphies also learn Chinese calligraphy. In addition, Japanese kimono is also changed from Chinese Tang suit.

In my opinion, many parts of Japanese culture aborb Chinese elements. Their traditional custume originated from Chinese custume in Tang dynasty. And the Buddhism was spread to Japan at that time too. Other than that, Japan is also infulenced by Confucianism, causing many similarities in cultures between Japan and China. Others include tea culture, indirectness and attention to face and pride, and so on.

    1. In Japanese, hiragana comes from the cursive script of Chinese characters, while katakana comes from Chinese character component.

    2. The Japanese kimono comes from the Chinese hanfu in the Tang Dynasty.

    3. The tea art in Japan originated from China, and the tea culture in China has evolved into the matcha in Japan.

    4. Japan's current Buddhism comes from the Buddhism of the Tang Dynasty.
