From the perspective of intercultural appropriation(跨文化借用), in your opinion, which part or parts of Japanese culture absorbed some elements from Chinese culture?
In my opinion, there are 3parts in Japanese culture which absorbed some elements from Chinese culture, inciuding tea ceremony,Japanese costume and Religion.
Tea Ceremony:Originated in China.,tea Introduced by the Japanese Buddhist in the last stage of the Southern Song. But Japan have formed its own typical features.
Japanese Costume:Japanese costume “Kimono” based on the costume of Tang dynasty of China.
1. Chinese characters: Chinese characters were introduced into Japan in the 5th century AD with the introduction of Chinese scriptures by some Buddhist monks. Then, Chinese pictograms were, for example, dismantled to form two entirely new alphabets, hiragana and katakana, while a new set of Japanese readings was imposed on the original Chinese characters.
2. Tea culture: It is said that in the Song Dynasty of China more the 800 years ago, Japanese Zen master Rongxi came to Zhejiang, bringing the Chinese tea drinking culture to Japan, thus forming the Japanese tea ceremony.
3. Buddhist thought: Buddhist first spread to Japan through China in the 6th century AD. For the need of cultural exchange and political rule, Buddhist gradually spread in Japan. The sign of localization of Japanese Buddhism is the prosperity and secularization trend of pure land and Zen.
4. Ikebana culture: Japansee ikebana originated from the Buddhist temples of Sui Dynasty in China. When it was spread to Japan, it's time, geography and national conditions made it develop to the scale of today.
1.Language: About 25 percent of Japanese is made up of Chinese characters, and the Japanese katakana is based on Chinese cursive.
2.Dress: Japanese kimono is influenced by Chinese hanfu.
3.Weiqi: Weiqi originated in China and it was introduced into Japan in Chinese Southern and Northern Dynasties.

5.Buddhist culture: Japan's buddhist culture was also influenced by China.
6.Architecture: The structure of Japanese architecture is influenced by ancient China. For example, the Todaiji temple in Japan is influenced by Chinese temple.
I think Japanese culture absorbed some elements from Chinese culture in In the aspect of word creation. Many Japanese characters are very similar to Chinese characters in pronunciation and shape, althoughthere are some subtle differences. So I think as a Japanese learner, it is very helpful to me.
in my view, the kimono is heavily influenced by the tradicional chineses clothes of tang dynasty, also the tea culture, and the way of speaking, usually they all not speak directly
Japan has absorbed Chinese tea culture, clothing culture, Chinese character culture, Confucianism, Chinese political system and Buddhist thought of China.
In my opinion, first, Japanese tea culture are studied from China. Second, Japanese traditional costume is called Kimono, which was based on Tang Dynasty of China. Third, Chinese Taoism and Confucianism always influence Japanese a lot.
In my opinion,Japanese culture has many similar elements with Chinese culture. Such as the tea culture, the origin of the Japanese characters, the indirectness and the politeness.
