I think the most important skill is writing down the key words when we listen to a long lecture.But my vocabulory are so poor that I even do not know the words the speaker said. I will try harder to practice.

I think there are many efficient ways.First is about the skills you can use while listening.you can write down the important information or key words from what you listen,it doesn't means that you need to write down every single words because you don't have much time to write.you can just use abbreviated words to take place of the whole words.Second is about the emotion. Don't worry about missing a few words or sentences. Just keep calm and focus on the following listening part.

Find some listening materials in the internet, like the ted. Practicing taking notes while listening to the materials, then writet down the main idea ,and try to retell the passage after listen to the passage a few times.

Then it's necessary to recognize the speakers' attitudes or opinions, which means we don't have to master all details. What's more , it's OK not to remember everything you hear . In my opinion, an effective and practical way to improve listening performance is to quickly write down the key words we hear, and if there is anything we can't hear clearly, give up decisively. But to catch as many words as possible, we need to accumulate.

As far as I am concerned, taking notes makes sense when during the listening part. When takingg notes, we ought to write down how the passage is organised, what kind of concept is mentioned, whether the speaker stands for the opinion, and so on. They is no need to record every word, neither to spell absolutely correctly. If several sentences are not so clearly heard, just skip them and go on.

I hold a view that when we listen to the conversation, we should be careful devote our whole minds into it, writing down the key words and important points is also very important. Besides these, if we have something unclear, just put it down and let it go, or we might lose other information and even the whole conversation.

When I'm practicing listening, I like to divide a paragraph of listening into several sentences and then listen to one sentence after another. In addition, I also like to watch foreign movies. When I watch a movie, I listen to the lines first, and then watch the subtitles, so as to check whether I understand the lines.
