I have learned that TOEFL is a platform with great authority ,so it can prove one's ability in a way.

The following are some differences :

In terms of listening:TOEFL has more living topics but IELTS is more academic.

In terms of speaking:TOEFL adapts the way of talk between people but IELTS adapts the way that people talk to machines.

That's all. Thanks for watching and reviewing.

I have learned something about TOEFL and known some differences between TOEFL and IELTS.  First,  the listening material of IELTS is more academic. Second,  TOEFL uses computer to test people, but IELTS doesn't. Last but not least, you can just apply for studying abroad if you passed TOEFL,  but you can apply for immigration if you passed Class G IELTS.

In Week 1, I haved a preliminary understanding of the TOEFL IBT test, including examination objects and form of examination. Examination objects include reading, listening, writing and speaking. The form of examination is a computer test. In the process of my study, I also feeled the importance of TOEFL to our future development. If we plan to study abroad, especially USA, Canada, UK and so on, our English must pass the test. TOEFL score can be used as an indicator. There are many differences between TOEFL and IELTS. Here are three aspects. First, the content of TOEFL is more academic and IELTS is more life oriented. Second, TOEFL is mainly appplicable to North American countries. Third, TOEFL score is 120, IELTS score is 9. All in all, improving self English is the key.

I have learned process of the TOEFL exam and some simple rules of it.As for differences between TOEFL and IELTS,based my research,I summize about three points.

Firstly,IELTS is widely recognized by Commonwealth country and TOEFL is popular to go to the U.S.

Secondly,TOEFL is totally internet based test(IBT),and IELTS includes IBT and PBT.

    Tirdly,TOEFL 's score range is from 0 to 120,and IELTS's is from 0 to 9.

I have learned general information about the TOEFL test. Given the informtion, I learned about that there are many differences between TOEFL and IELTS. First, TOEFL is conducted by ETS, a nonprofit organization in US, while IELTS is jointly managed by the British Council, University of Cambridge, and IELTS Australia. Besides,  while scores are given in a band of 0-9 in IELTS, scores in TOEFL are between 310 and 677. What's more, while TOEFL focuses on North America, IELTS has been designed to take into account various accents and situations.

I learned the composition and rules of the toefl.

The ielts test takes about 3.5 hours, while the toefl test takes about 4.5 hours. And compared to ielts, toefl has a wider acceptance.

And in my opinion, toefl pays more attention to the communication between people, rather than the cold communication between people and machines.

I learned something useful related to TOEFL ,such as its basic regulatation and some efficient methods to prepare it.

I think the main differences between TOEFL and IELTS include four aspects. First of all, the full score of IELTS is 9 and that of TOEFL  is 120. Secondly, IELTS spoken English test adopts human-to-human dialogue, while TOEFL uses human-machine dialogue form. Thirdly, IELTS  costs candidates two hours and forty-five minutes to finish the whole examination, while TOEFL costs four hours. But both of them are vaild for two years.

First, there are two types of IELTS, General Training and Academic. General Training is for immigrants, while Academic is for studying abroad. The TOEFL test is not classified.

Secondly, the TOEFL test is an internet based Test, and the IELTS test can be both a written test and an internet based test.

Furthermore, the TOEFL test is completed at one time. The IELTS test is first performed for listening, reading, and writing, and the speaking test is conducted separately.

I have learned the importance of English language skill.Having strong skills in English is going to enable you to open up huge doors. You can study abroad. You will understand the English literature.Your professional level can be improved by this tool.Don't let language be a barrier for your studying.

On my research,I have learned some difference between the two tests.First, the cultural and geographical knowledge involved in IELTS is mainly from Britain and Australia. And TOEFL is based on American English, having some American idioms in the test.Secondly, while TOEFL is taken online, the IELTS exam is completed on paper.Thirdly, the content of IELTS is mainly around life application school, hospital, bank, society and so on,focusing on students' ability to survive in an English-speaking country. The TOEFL tests book-based subjects, including history, geography and humanities, focusing on examing the normative skills of English.

I have learned many English skills about TOEFL text. And the difference as follows:

Ielts: ielts scores are recognized by more than 8000 universities worldwide, and toefl scores are more widely recognized by 9000 universities.Toefl 110 scores are ielts 8.5, toefl 100 scores are ielts 6.5-7, and toefl 90 scores are ielts 6-6.5.

Generally, the score of toefl ibt can only be used for overseas study application, while the function of ielts is different because there are A and G grades. The score of ielts ibt is used for overseas study application, while that of ielts ibt can be used for immigration application.

I have learned about the rules as well as information of TOEFL according to the week 1,and here are the differences between TOEFL and ITEST.

First, about the topics, TOEFL’s are closer to life while that of ITEST more academical.

Second, TOEFL is an extra computer test compared to ITEST.

Third, TOEFL should be answered in American English, and ITEST ought to be in British English.

Maybe there are although some difference between TOEFL and ITEST, but they are least.

From the week one lesson, I learned that TOEFL test is different from the other tests we have exprienced.TOFEL is a test of English which do  not ask people to solve complex math problems because we are not testing math skills—we are testing English skills. What's more, the development of TOEFL test content begins with test developers who are experts in a wide variety of subjects. These test developers search for source material that is typical of what can be found in a first- or second-year university-level class.

The full mark of  TOEFL is 120 ,and the IELTS's  is 9.TOFEL is more popular in America, and IELTS is more popular in the UK.

I've learned that in TOFEL after reading and listening contestants will have ten minutes for break, then come the speaking and writing, and contest totally lasts for three hours.

IETLTS's fisrt part is listening which lasts for 30+10 minutes, the second part is reading for 1 hour, the third part is writing for 1 hour. The fourth part is speaking which last for about 15 minutes, usually scheduled on Saturday's afternoon or Sunday's morning.

From the first week study, I have learn a lot of the TOEFL test.

The TOEFL test is so important that in australia and other countries they make a point of the TOEFL tast. The TOEFL test is the most widely respected English-language test in the world, recognized by more than 10,000 colleges, universities and agencies in more than 130 countries, including Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The TOEFL Test has four sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. It' a little bit similar with our CET4 in some ways. The total score of TOEFL is a range of 0~120.

One major difference between IELTS and TOEFL lies in the fact that IELTS also has a General version for those who are immigrating to English speaking countries and would be working in environments that are not academic in nature. TOEFL does not make any difference between candidates.

I think I have learn a lot in this week! =v=

Through this course,I learned the basic process of TOEFL from week 1.

I will distinguish the differences between IELTS and TOEFL.

The IELTS test is based on internationalization as the starting point, involving cultural geography and other aspects of knowledge to the United Kingdom and Australia in the majority. TOEFL is based on American English, the listening is entirely the standard American voice, but also has American idioms, slang, involving a large number of American history, culture, politics, geography and other aspects of the content.

I have learned a little about the composition board of the TOEFL test and the requirements of different countries and universities for the TOEFL test.

When it comes to the difference between the TOEFL and the IELTS, according to my research, I found some differences about the Organization of the test, the content of the test, the setting of scores, and the country of recognition. For example, the IELTS is a test for non English speaking students applying to study and train in the UK to assess their ability to use English. Many Commonwealth countries now use the test as a certification for English proficiency for applicants applying for skilled migration in their own countries. And the United States, Canada to recognize the IELTS results of the number of schools are also increasing. But the TOEFL is the most widely accepted test of academic English in the world.

The difference between IELTS and TOEFL lies in those threee aspects:  country, examination content, examination form .
    1. Country
IELTS is mainly suitable for applying for studying in the Commonwealth, Australia and other countries, while TOEFL is suitable for studying in North America, especially in the United States and Canada.

    2. Examination content
    IELTS pays more attention to the application of life, and the vocabulary is not as much as TOEFL requires;

TOEFL pays more attention to the academic aspect, and requires higher professionalism.

    3. Examination form

IELTS is in the form of written examination and interview. The oral part communicates directly with the examiner face to face, and the score is more flexible.

TOEFL is a computer-based test mode. Whether it's listening, reading, writing, or even speaking, it's a computer-based test.
