TOFEL mainly offers people who do not speak English a platform to study abroad, and it's a tool to test your English level. TOFFL exam consists of reading, listening, writing and speaking parts. The main topics about the artivles differ to our traditional tests. There are many topics about school, traditional news, which are chanlleges for our views. And the difficuty level about listening part is also annoying.SO,if we want to get high scares,we should promote our English levels and our attention to news and current affairs.
I have learned the detailed information concerning the TOFEL test and the importance of the TOFEL test, especially when applying for schools which require a high proficiency in English.
The differences between TOFEL and ITLES include:
1.the total score. The total score of TOEFL test is 120,while the total score of ITLES test is 9.
2.the pattern of listening section.Students can see the question of listening section in advance in ITLES test, while in TOFEL test, students can't.

Through the learning of week 1 , I learned not only the specific process and the special status of the TOEFL but also the importance of having strong English skills.
And here come the differences between TOEFL and IELTS in my research. First, they have different types of test questions. Then , TOEFL is more accepted by universities all over the world than IELTS. Moreover, they have different standards of grading.
I have learned some basic information about the TOEFL from Week 1.And I master some basic methods of learning English, which may improves my reading ability.Aha...As for the difference between TOEFL and IELTS, I have summed up three main points.
Firstly, they have different recognition levels in different countries. For instance, many colleges in America have higher recognition of TOEFL.Secondly,There are also differences in examination forms and emphasis. For example, TOEFL composition focuses on independence and integration, but IELTS not.Last but not least, they are very different in the grading system. The full score of TOEFL is 120,but IELTS is 9.Uh...may be it doesn't matter.
I have learned TOEFL's rules and some learning skills in week 1. And there are some difference between TOEFL and IELTS,such as the full mark of TOEFL is 120 and IELTS is 9,and TOEFL focuses on listening and speaking,IELTS focuses on writting.

TOEFL and IELTS's differents lies in their sponsor, examination form, emphasis and the time distribution.TOEFL managed by ETSsupports paper test and offer ten minutes for people to rest, while IELTS owned by UCLES,the British Council and IDP Education Australia, supports computer based testing and offers no time to rest.

In my opinion, there are 3 differences between TOEFL and IELTS. First difference is that IELTS still take..s paper exam while you will have TOEFL test online. Second, IETLS pays more attention to practical commands of English meanwhile TOEFL focuses more on comprehensive command of English. Lastly, the full mark of TOEFL is 120 ,but the IELTS's is 9.
Week 1 mainly provided some basic information about TOEFL and told me how would this couse development. As for the difference between TOEFL and IELTS, first, they use different accent.Accents used in TOEFL is mostly North American English accents while the IELTS uses international English accents. Then their test form is not the same. For example, the TOEFL Reading section asks you to read 4-6 academic English passages (all of the same level of difficulty) and answer multiple-choice questions about them, but questions in IELTS are taken from academic textbooks, newspapers or magazines (all academic English) and you'll find the question harder and harder.
Through the lerning of week1, I have a deeper understanding and cognition of the TOEFL exam. But more importantly, I've changed my mind that the TOEFL exam score isn't just a number, it's more about the skills I can master to improve my abilities.
For the differences between IELTS and TOEFL, first of all, the total score of TOEFL is 120, while the IELTS score is 9.
Besides, IELTS uses a combination of real people and machine tests, while TOEFL is mostly a machine test.
Last, recognition of the two test scores will also vary from country to country and even from university to university.

The same point: they are all authoritative international examination institutions.
I have learned the essential information about TOEFL Test and know how important it is.Because of its authority,it is recognized by many well-kown universities. And I confirmedly believe it will affect my whole life. First of all,In IELTS, listening, reading and writing are written tests, oral tests are conducted separately, and the valid period of scores is 2 years. But in TOEFL, listening, reading, writing and speaking are all machine tests, with a valid period of 2 years.

Different countries, for example, the various countries in Europe, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, then Switzerland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, these countries are all Commonwealth countries, so it is recognized. Some countries in North America, such as Toefl, are more likely to accept toefl scores than others, including Japan. The TOEFL test is a computer only, Internet connected test, so it's a completely computer based test. The ielts test is a written test plus an interview, so its listening, reading and writing are all written on paper and pen. IELTS test, it's a full score of 9, and its individual items, four items are also zero to 9 points, then the final score of the four individual points to add up after dividing by 4 average points, is your ielts test total score. The toefl test is not like this, its total score is 120 points, a single account for 30 points, and then four single points add up, do not need to divide anything, the result is your total score.
With the instructors' help,I had a look inside the TOEFL test. And I've learned how the test is scored and made.I also learned that accommodations could be provided if test takers need.
As to the difference between TOEFL and IELTS, I've searched on Bing and find something that I dindn't know before:
1. For some, it is easier to prepare for TOEFL as the format remains constant, while format in IELTS keeps changing.
2.Marking is also different in both the tests. While, in TOEFL, small grammatical mistakes are generally ignored if the topic has been handled well by the candidate, in IELTS, a candidate cannot hope to be marked leniently.
3.One major difference between IELTS and TOEFL lies in the fact that IELTS also has a General version for those who are immigrating to English speaking countries and would be working in environments that are not academic in nature. TOEFL does not make any difference between candidates.
