What do you think of the performance of the volunteer group? Which team/member was the most impressive? What was your idea about the topic/theme of their performance?
The two groups performed wonderfully. In my view,I prefer the second group.Their topic is absolutely novel and very deep. The words they said were realistic and reflected how the parents cared about their children. They expressed very fluently.During the performance, they added some proper actions, which made the performance more natural. The use of the lens was also very interesting.
Today,I saw two videos. The videos I saw were interesting and excellent .But I perfer the second video.
Conent:Their content is the love between parents and children.
Acting skills:They use the camera very flexibly, and the music is very proper.
Language:Their lines is perfect .Don't have.mistakes and they speak fluently that make me get their emtions easily.
I think each group did a great job. The video of Class 1 was centered around the theme of the generation gap, with each character vividly portrayed and the music and editing techniques perfectly matched. Class 2's work was novel in its conception, and the editing and music were equally excellent, with profound content. In short, I really like these two works.
The performances of the two groups were very wonderful and vivid .They both use suitable music and perfect body language and emotional expression. The content of class 1 is generation gap and class 2 is coming out.Their language is pretty good and almost have no mistake. They both impressed me.
I think their performance is really wonderful! Whether it's their performance, language, editing or background music... everything is done exceptionally well and deserves a high score of 93. The family conflict in it is also resolved very well, but I hope the background music can be a little quieter and their own voices can be a little louder~ That would be even better.☺️
I think all of them did an excellent job. My favorite is the performance by the second group—they centered the narrative on the different perspectives of emotions between two generations, and the portrayal of the parents left a particularly deep impression on me: they didn’t understand the topic of homosexuality at first, but gradually grew to comprehend and accept it after the children explained it patiently. The line "We just want you to be happy" really stuck with me. I guess all parents are like this—while depicting family conflicts, this group’s performance also made us realize the depth of parental love.
Both groups performed excellently, and I think the second one was even more wonderful. Their topic is homosexuality, which is a very interesting theme.
The first group's content is very common in our daily lives. It shows the generation gap between parents and children. What impressed me most is "father ".His facial expressions are wonderful. But the bgm is a little bit noisy.Their sentences are easy to understand.
The second group's content is very innovative, which astonished me and the end is warm.Daughter's action of wiping her tears is very natural. However,I can't quite understand what they said.
The performances of both groups in class were very vivid and closely related to modern life. However, the background music in the first group was too loud, which somewhat overshadowed the dialogue. The second group's performance was very complete, with actors memorizing the lines accurately and delivering them fluently. It would be even better if the volume of the dialogue could be slightly increased and the pronunciation made a bit clearer.
Gongzihan's wig was impressed me most. The performance of the boys in the second group was extremely outstanding. The performance of the boys in the second group was extremely outstanding.Their pronunciation is very clear and their voices are very loud.
The content of the second video is very bold and controversial, focusing on homosexuality. It's true that there are significant differences in opinions between parents and children. At the end of the video, the parents show understanding and express their love, which warms the hearts of the viewers. The appropriate background music further enhances the warm atmosphere. The video uses proper and comfortable camera movements, allowing the audience to clearly understand who is expressing their views and making the characters more three-dimensional. The four actors perform without a script and with genuine emotions. Overall, it's particularly smooth and perfect.
I think the theme of the performance in English Class 1 is very close to real life. From the children's cosplay activities, which are novel and interesting, to another child's love for pop music, this represents the renewal of young people's concepts. However, the older generation's parents are not familiar with such novel things and consider that children are wasting their time and behaving in an unproductive manner. This then clearly shows the generation gap and the conflict points. Moreover, during the performance, body movements are the key to expressing the emotions and attitudes of each character, and this is also what they have demonstrated. At the same time, the father's accent is very distinctive. The cultural level of the older generation may not be very high, so the expression of the accent can also effectively convey the characteristics of the older generation's characters. In terms of language, I think flowery words do not necessarily strongly express emotions. The higher level is to use the fewest and simplest words to express as much emotion and its deeper implications as possible, that is, less is more. Although the performance lines are not very short, they can still allow the audience to understand the meaning they want to convey, which is still very good.

I think both groups’ performances were very lively and interesting, and the videos were also edited very well. The performance of Chen Minjie's group left a deep impression on me. They focused on the father's inability to understand his daughter's habit of listening to music and the son's love of cosplay. I think it was very close to real life. Moreover, they used many different background music and vivid body language, which allowed me to directly feel the emotional changes of the characters. At the same time, their language was close to real life yet still humorous, and I think this also enabled the audience to enjoy the fun while easily understanding it.
1.The main content involves the generation gap between children and their parents, the quarrels between sons and their fathers, and the mediation and reconciliation efforts made by the mothers. This is particularly close to real life.
2.In terms of acing skills, both the son and the father executed their movements perfectly. There was the son's rebelliousness and the father's excitement.
3.In terms of the language, from the initial low tone to the gradual easing in the middle and finally to the happy and cheerful ending, it was particularly excellent.
I think two group performed extremely well, especially the second group.First, the first group is funny and realistic. And the performer of father can bring audiences into the play.the topic is about parents'confusion to understanding regarding their childrens interest in cosplay.Next, whether it's pronunciation, fluency,or even editing, the second group did very well. And they dare to perform the issue that most people are facing today. What important most is that they didn't break into laughter at all during the performance.I really enjoyed this performance,it can give people unexpected surprises.
I think both groups of volunteers have made serious efforts to prepare. It gives us a good interpretation. I think I was very impressed with the second group's performance as well as their theme. The excellent group videos shown in the class also let me see their intentions in the production and their content enrichment. Their pronunciation is also very standard. The choice of theme is also unique.
I think both performances were excellent and vivid, but in my opinion, I preferred the second one. Its theme was more innovative and profound, and the combination of video editing and live performance was outstanding. All in all, their performances were interesting and very wonderful.
I think each group performed very well. Everyone prepared and acted seriously. But the performance of the second group impressed me more deeply. Their body language and role-playing were very devoted. For example, the mother even wore a wig and performed very devotedly and freely.
I think the performance of the English Class One was more impressive to me. Their performance focused on the young children's love for cosplay and pop music. The parents didn't understand this, which led to a generation gap between the two generations. Such novel content is very relevant to reality. I think they were very thoughtful in using background music for their video. This also helped their performance better. During the performance, they used a lot of body language, which was even more in line with the habits in real life.
Content:The main content of the class group activity revolves around the conflict between two generations regarding their ways of relaxation and interests. The father expresses dissatisfaction with his child's hobbies, such as scrolling through short videos, idolizing celebrities, and cosplay, believing that the child should focus more on activities like sports and reading. After arguments and mediation by the mother, the father gradually begins to accept these new trends, and the child also gains a better understanding of the father. As a result, the generational gap between them narrows.
Acting skill: The students performed with great dedication. Not only did they prepare props, but they also interacted through eye contact and gestures. Additionally, they adjusted their speech tempo and emotions by using varied BGM, making the plot transitions smooth and creating an overall enjoyable viewing experience.
Language:The students performed without scripts, delivering their lines with clear pronunciation and genuine emotion. Their pacing was well-measured, making the dialogue pleasant to listen to, and the transitions between lines were smooth without any stumbling or forgotten words. Moreover, their performance blended remarkably well with the background music, creating a uniquely harmonious effect.
Content:The performance of Chen Minjie's group mainly focuses on the differences of two generations' hobbies. The children like cosplay and listening to pop music, following the viral trends. However, their father initially can't understand because their hobbies are totally different from those of his age.Eventually, through the mother's persuasion and reasoning, the father gradually accepts the new thoughts and understand the children.
Acting skill:The members of the group set the scene at the dinner table, which is warm and close to our daily lives. And their editing skill is excellent. What impresses me most is that they adopt different background music to reflect the changes of the characters' emotions. It's interesting and I can't help laughing. Moreover, their facial expressions really add charm to the performance.
Language:They speak English with great fluency and accuracy. They don't forget their lines and are immersed in their performance
I think that two groups perform extraoridnary, but I prefer class 2 performance.
Content:At the very beginning ,parents incomprehend their childern's early romance or even homosexuality. However, after a deep discussion, parents understood their childern and said ''we just hope that you can be happy. ''
Acting skill: They performed with great dedication. Not only did they prepare props, but they also interacted through eye contact and gestures. Additionally, they adjusted their speech tempo and emotions by using varied BGM, making the plot transitions smooth and creating an overall enjoyable viewing experience.
Language:From the initial low tone to the gradual easing in the middle and finally to the happy and cheerful ending, it was particularly excellent.
Content: The conflicts within Chen Minjie's family mainly revolve around the children's fondness for following trends, their love for pop music and role-playing. However, at first, the parents did not understand this. Later, through the conversations between the children and their parents, the conflicts were resolved.
Acting skills: The performance was conducted on the dining table, which was closer to the real-life conversation scenarios. The costumes chosen by the performers were more in line with the roles.
Language: The language was vivid and humorous, with fluent spoken English.
This video blew me away—seriously, it’s one of the most well-done pieces I’ve seen lately. The cinematography is breathtaking, with such great use of lighting and angles that make every scene feel immersive. The editing is smooth and polished, and the soundtrack fits perfectly, enhancing the mood beautifully.
Both groups' performances shown in class were very expressive. The first group focused on the generation gap between parents and children regarding interests, while the second group not only highlighted family conflicts but also touched upon contemporary social controversies surrounding homosexuality. In the end, it conveyed a truth: being happy with oneself is what matters most, and gaining parental recognition is particularly valuable. The ending was heartwarming, and the second group's language expression was more fluid, with highly engaged performances. I preferred the second group's performance.
My favorite group was the girls from our class. I think their theme was very novel and it also reflected some problems that exist in society, such as the issue of sexual orientation nowadays. I thought their performance was excellent, whether it was their spoken language, the material they chose, or their acting. Everyone was amazing. I really enjoyed their performance. It allowed me to see the care their parents have for them and the change in their parents' viewpoints. I really liked it.
