If I were Neil,I would not resolve the conflict between dream and reality by suiciding.Firstly,I would talk with my parents seriously and mildly. If my dad still didn't agree my decision after I told my real dream and guaranteed that my grades would not be influenced by my dream, I would put my dreams aside provisionally. And after entering university,I would continue to achieve my dream again.

If I am Neil,I would first make it clear to my parents what my dream is.Being a doctor is not my pursuit.I love acting and I have acted well. But I have had enough of acting to be a good kid,to pursue the so-called dreams that you set for me.I will keep studying hard in this school. But I won't quit my acting career.

Firstly, I really feel pity that Neil decided to end his life because of the conflict. It's absolutely the environment he growed up in was the definite cause of his tragedy and made him such a person. So, what is dream? Dream is the kind of thing that you must tiptoe to grasp. That means if we want to realize the dream, we must strengthen ourselves physically and mentally. If I were Neil, maybe I would hide my dream and tolerate the present situation, at the same time I would put extra efforts in making preparations for my dream. And I believe someday will definitely come, the day when I am strong and powerful enough to sing out my dream to everyone. Maybe when I have solid material foundation and sufficient skills, I will just give up and pursue my dream.

If I were Neil, I would love to firstly communicate with my father to ask for his agreement, though he probably may not approve of my true dream. Then I would just continue to perform but as reconditely as I can, so as not to be found by my father. At the same time, I will study hard to get access to a medical school and to be a doctor. I have got so much from my family and I should work hard to pay back in return for their sacrifice. Then I may ask them for understanding. Though it doubts whether I have enough time for my love of preforming after I become a doctor.

As an extreme idealist, Neil chose to end his life when the gap between dreams and reality widened. If I were Neil,  I would do my best to balance dreams and reality while cherishing my life, such as making a doctor as a profession and acting as a hobby. Being a romantic idealist is romantic, but I think it's more rewarding to be a sober doer and stick to your dreams for a long time.Behind the father's strict requirements and constraints is his expectation that his children have better conditions for a material life, and Neil's dedication to acting stems from the constant pursuit of love in his heart. The two seem like a conflict, but the starting point is for a better life and a higher sense of happiness. Therefore, in my opinion, escape and death are the most unwise choices. And heart-to-heart communication may not be able to turn dreams into reality, but it will certainly narrow the gap between the two. Communication and concessions are not about bowing to reality or unconditional compromise, and I think it's the best way to stick to dreams in reality.

If I were Neil, I will try my best to communicate with my parents and tell them what I think and what I love for ideals. Maybe they won't understand me, but I'll try. It's great to have their support, but if they firmly reject me, I will stick to my ideals to the end. This conflict is difficult to deal with and cannot be avoided, but I will stick to my own opinion.

If I were Neil, I would stick to my dream. At the same time, I will try to find a balance between my dream and reality. I will ask my teachers and friends for help. Try to communicate well with my father and make it clear that I don't want to be a doctor but an actor, so as to win my father's understanding and support. I will also face reality and try to find a balance between acting and my studies. Look for opportunities to better show my talents in acting without compromising my academic grades.

If I were Neil, I would try to balance my dream and reality. I would not quit acting, but I would also not neglect my studies and family. I would look for ways to do both, such as joining a drama club or taking theater classes. I would also talk to my father honestly and explain why acting makes me happy. I would hope that he would understand and support me, or at least respect my choices.

Perhaps I have to solve the problem in reality, when I am strong enough I will come back to my dream.

I think Neil's suicide is still inextricably linked to his overly extreme negative personality. If it were me, at least I wouldn't end my life in such an extreme way hastily. Life and dreams are equally noble, and I will not give up my life easily because of the pressure of reality. But I still think I will retain my pursuit of dreams, the road ahead is bumpy and winding, life is always like this, do not bow to reality, and do not live in a dream with a single mind.

If I were Neil, I would have an in-depth communication with my father. I will let him know that my dream for me is not a whim. I will tell him that although I really want to pursue my dream regardless of everything, I can also understand my father's painstaking efforts. Maybe I can't completely convince my father, but I can let him know that I'm not a puppet. In the future, I will study harder and use my spare time to develop my hobbies after completing my homework. I will prove to my father that I will not only be an excellent dreamer, but also an excellent future social celebrity.

If I were Neil, I would rather follow my dream than obey my father's words. My father only wanted me to be a doctor then it was his dream. However I am the one who will live my life. If the rest of my life isn't my choice and can't make me happy, then I do not have the reason to live. If I could not let him understand my thoughts, I need to cut my link between me and my family. Above all, my life should  be controled by myself.

In my opinion, at that time, Neil was unable to resist his father. If I were Neil, I would follow my father's requirement at first. Then, when I felt I was ready, I would begin to pursue my dream. Dreams originate from reality and are higher than reality. My father has prepared a wonderful future for me and this is a great springboard for me to pursue my dream.

If I were Neil, I would have a thorough and profound conversation with my father. I would let him know that you have your dream and I have my own dream.I live my own life. If finally I have to obey my father, I would not choose suicide. I would tell him that I'd never give up my dream. When I have enough ability, I will pursue my dream.

If I were Neil, when what I want to do is conflict to to reality, maybe I would just compromise at that time.Because I dont know how to pay the price to chase my dream against the crazy father. He can't be reasoned with or persuaded.I will try to be independent and run away from him, then do what I want to do.

In my oponion,Neil was really having a hard time struggling between dream and reality. I feel him. However, if I were him, I still wouldn't choose ending myself to settle the conflict. Puting myself into his shoes, I would first try to talk everything out to my parents and explain to them how important my dream is to me at the very beginning. Judging from the movie, Neil's parents, especially his mother treasured their son dearly, so I tend to believe this might work. If not, then I would make a deal with my father, that is to use gaining the certificate of the medical school as an exchange for the freedom of pursuing my dream.

If I were Neil, I would never choose to end my life as an expression of loyalty to my ideals. I cherish the ideal, more love life. Sticking to the ideal does not need to sacrifice everything or give up all, in the face of reality polishing, we can compromise, can make concessions, but it does not mean that we give up their ideals. Ideal is always a light, the road of life is long, we need to have bright guidance, but also to be down-to-earth, face the reality of setbacks, brave forward. For me, the process of realizing the ideal is more valuable and remarkable than the result.
