Differences between British and American English

English is used in many countries and there are many differences in this language. We understand that there exist differences between British and American English in terms of pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary and usage. 

Can you think of some examples to show the differences between the two versions?

    I feel that there is a big difference between English pronunciation and American pronunciation. American sounds are more tactful, while English sounds are more rigid. It may have something to do with their character.

      Yes, there are some obvious differences between American and British English in terms of spelling, pronunciation, vocabulary and usage.

    I think the most obvious difference between them is the pronunciation.British English has fewer curls when speaking.Also some meaning of the same words are different.What's more,due to the cultural differences and habit they use different words to express the same meaning,such as apartment and flat.

    I think the British English speaker often make their mouth smaller than American English speaker.They are more serious but elegant.I prefer to speak Britsh English because I think it is original.

      The British accent is more difficult than the American accent to imitate but once you get it, it does sound elegant:)
