A paragraph of two or more lines in a poem is called the "section" (stanza). The sound step and rhythm of the lines in the section are close to or the same. Many classic English poetry sections are generally composed of relatively formed (fixed format) modules, such as four-line poetry (Quatrain, four-line is usually a verse composed of four lines in a poem. Such "sections" usually contain the same number of sound steps (feet), and some also contain the same rhyme formula (rhyming patterns). Four-line verse is a common "verse" in English poetry, which usually becomes a complete poem; three beats (composed of three lines, each line follows approximate step, can rhyme or not rhyme); and six-line poetry (Sestina, from bard, generally a rapper composed of six six-line verses, and the last three acts "envoys" (a three-line envoi)). Therefore, each section of traditional English poetry sees "three beats", "four lines" and "six lines" as a section of a poem.
