I think there were many factors that contributed to Nile's death - his parents' lack of understanding, the harsh learning environment at this school and his own cowardice all contributed to the tragedy. His parents were so controlling of his future that he had no chance to fight back. His weak character also made it difficult for him to stay on the path he really liked.
In my opinion, all the people in such a society are responsible for Neil's unfortunate destiny, but Neil himself is the most blamable. The society has dicided that conflict between romanticism and reality is unavoidable and the two are Irreconcilable. If a man can't choose one to follow, he will suffer so much. Neil didn't have courage to choose and live through suffering, so the only way for him is to commit suicide.
First of all, his father’s cruelty and constraint should be blamed for his death. When it comes to Neil’s beloved cause-- acting, he just showed indifference and ignored. Secondly, Neil’s weakness in his personality also contributed to the tragedy. He dared not go against his father's wishes, and only chose to escape from reality.
The first name that occurs to me, definitly, was Neil's father. It is his arbitrary and abnormal love which led to his son's tragedy. However, after seeing the scene of the talk between Neil and Keating, I start wondering whether Keating's teaching ways are helpful enough to save a boy trapped in a fierce family atmosphere. Maybe a deeper indication telling Neil to make a compromise between his dream and career might have made up his mind. Ultimately, it's very hard, though, to blame for Neil himself. For nothing can demonstrate weaker than ending up one's life on his own.
As far as I am concerned, there are several factors which attribute to Nile's death. firstly,Nile's father is too severe and congressive that leads Nile to be struck in a dilemma between hia dream of acting and the request of his father.Secondly, the internal characteristics owned by Nile is a dispensable reason for this tragedy. Finally, what's the most essential thing is the educational system which has been aliened under the competitive and stressful world. What l have mentioned above should take responsibility for Nile'death.
In my point of view, there are three main reasons accounting for the death of Nile. First of all,it's Neil's father who should definitely be blamed for Nile's death. His father is dominating, stubborn and autocratic, who tries to impose his wills on Neil, forcing the poor boy to give up his dream. Then,Neil's weakness in personality can't be ignored. He has no courage to express himself when communicating with his father. Last but not least, the school's intention to cultivate the successful people and education goal, which restrict Neil's dream, should be responsible for the death.
In my opinion, many factors have ever contributed to Neil's death. In fact, if we have to blame someone for this tragedy, 3 people should be included. First, Neil's father, the most obvious one. He represents a series of parents who always place too many unfulfilled dreams on their children and disgust them as "love". Mr.Perry is stubborn and despotic, his anger is so uncontrollable that we may say he is similar to his son to some degree. Why? Because he is afraid of anything out of his control like Neil's own interest, so he uses anger as a veil. He avoids Neil's revolting all the time and indirectly kills him. Then, we find the principal. He enshrines the traditions than anything else, he talks about "responsibility"all the time but in fact he doesn't obey his responsibility as a educator. He just wants to push students to get profits and fulfill his own control desire. Last, we may say Neil kills himself and he is a indispensable role in this tragedy. We might find one hundred external reasons for his death, but for his weak heart, nobody can really hurt him. His cowardice, his escape, even his impulsion all contribute to his death. We often see Neil as a indecision person. However, i think he is the oppsite. He in fact can't figure out what he truly wants. Is art so important that he will die without it ? Maybe not. But he dies for it. If he isn't afraid of death, there is nothing in the world can prevent him from getting to art. He kills himself because he at his heart chose death recklessly without considering if it is worth. To some degree, his misunderstands Mr.Keating's advice about "freedom". Freedom doesn't equal to crude and rush.
From my perspective, firstly I think the attitude of his parents is the main reason for his suicide.Through this movie, it's obvious that his dad refuses to listen to his son and continuously increases Neil's pressure by putting on his own ideas to Neil. He is authoritarian and self-centered,exactly. And the final stimulus of his suicide was that his father asked him to transfer to military school to study medicine. Additionally, I noticed that Neil's mother sometimes Inclined to speak up for his son but finally gave up. In this case, I don't think that his mother's cowardice isn't a potential reason for Neil's death.
Secondly, The Welton preschool should be blamed as well. It's its depressive and isolated educational system that contributes to Neil's death potentially.
Eventually, I am sorry that Neil isn't brave enough to express himself to his family. He failed to let his heart be known when his father forced him to do something he hated. The result shouldn't have been so sad if he had have a deep conversation with his family.
As far as I am concerned, there are numerous factors accounting for the tragedy of Neil's death, including Neil's weakness in his personality, the education mode in 1950s, etc, but Neil's father should be mainly blamed for Neil's death. In the movie, he turns a blind eye to Neil's love of acting, and imposes crazy acdemic goals on his son, without communicate with Neil about how he feels or what he wants to do, and thus , his stubborness and autocracy directly causes Neil committing suicide.
From my perspective, the factors that lead Neil selected suicide are complex and enormous. It is difficult for us to imagine the pressure he’s confronted. But the first one I think should be blamed is Neil’s father. Through the film, all of us see that his father just regard Neil as a tool to make his unfulfilled dreams come true. His malformed love pretend as love harmed Neil over and over again. The second one is the principal. Despite he emphasized his traditions and motto, he just want to gain fame and profit on his own,and didn’t obey them in essence. Last but not least, I think the system of education is an important factor that we can’t neglect. Everyone who still lives under the system maybe the next Neil.
As far as I'm concerned, Neil's father, the Welton Academy and the improper educational concepts in that society are all responsible for Neil's suicide. As we can see, Neil's domineering father ignored Neil's dream and arranged everything for Neil without considering Neil's own thoughts; the Welton Academy just emphasized tradition, honor and discipline with no care of students' interests and personal traits. They are immediate causes of Neil's death. However, at its most basic level, the improper educational concepts of pursuing high scores, famous universities and decent jobs is the chief culprit, which deserves more consideration.
From my perspective,it's Neil's father as well as the oppressive educational environment that is mainly ascribed to his suicide.Neil's father is too autocratic to allow Neil to pursue his passion and dream, which is undoubtedly the last straw.Besides his father's autocracy, the whole rigid educational environment is also a factor that can't be ignored. The free will can't be respected in his school, despite the efforts Mr.Keating has made.Neil must behave in a conventional way.Last but not least,Neil's personality weakness-not being open enough-also plays an essential role in his death. He always yields to his father and never tell him what he really want.
From my perspective, there are multiple causes for Neil's death. However,Neil's father needs to take primary responsibility. Neil has lived under his father's control since he was a child. It’s not difficult to find out that he was controlled like a puppet by his own father. Perhaps in the eyes of others, Neil is a perfect person, but no one knows the pain and depression inside him. So when Neil knew his dreams were shattered, he did not choose to fight, but through an extreme way to kill himself.Neil's father destroyed his dream with his own hands, but long obedience made Neil choose silence. If his father had cared about what Neil really wanted, this tragedy might have been avoided.
As for me, not only his father ,but also this society should be blamed. Neil's father did not care about Neil's dream. He just wanted to see Neil became a successful person as his concerned. He ignored that Neil is a person which had his own thought. The thing which Neil was his son was more important than Neil was an independent person. Apart from this, Neil, as an adult, need to have the power of deciding his way of life. But in that society, teenagers asked to follow their parent's opinion. They were forced to abandon their dream or hobbies to seek "success". Money and power became the yardstick of success, though we all know it is wrong.
What I think is that the biggest reason for Neil's death is that he chose to die. His parents' step by step oppression and teacher Keating's guidance are all for him to become a better person. But maybe it was the wrong method, maybe it was too intense, and in the end, a person who committed suicide should have chosen his own death -- no one else could have decided his death under those circumstances.
Secondly, I think Neil died because his parents stopped his dream. He thought there was no way out and chose to die. But in fact, if he can have a good talk with his parents, it may not be without good results. Unable to deal with the obstacles in his path, Neil collapses and voluntarily chooses to die.
When it comes to Neil's death, there are many factors which are indipensable. First of all, Neil's weakness in his personality is a major source of his suicide. Though he didn't agree with his father, he could not stand up to his father effrctively. He answered with "Yes,sir. " to be obedient. He was caught in a double bind, which accelerated his death. What's more, Neil's father's oppression should be blamed for Niel's death, which is without doubt. Neil's father is stubborn and autocratic. He wanted Neil to have a good life, but, it should by no means ignore Neil's dream. Last but not least, the Welton way in education play a critical role in Neil's death. It advocate obeying authority without queation, which may make Neil faint-hearted and lead to death.
From my perspective, Neil's death is the final result driven by different elements. First of all, Neil's father has a strong will to control his offspring, instead of encouraging Neil to be himself. Abusing the elder's dominance, Neil's father forces Neil to be a doctor, which is cater to his appetite. Apart from this, Neil's personality, which can be concluded as soft and compelled, should be blamed since it has prevented Neil from interacting with his father effectively. Facing his father, he always flinches finally and accepts the consequence he disgusts. Last but not least, the school's cold and conservative circumstance refuses to provide Neil with sheer. Teachers who have responsibilities to be the bridge which can lessen the gap between Neil and his family function badly, witnessing Neil's dream and spirit are suffocated without help.
It is the society that should be blame, in my opinion. In the 60s of the last century, aiming to beat the Soviet in the arms race, the America school tended to bulid skillful students. As a result, special quality of students were ignore, and people go to college just to find a job, instead of know themselves. The famous song of Pink Floyd We don't need no education critizes the education system in that time. The film Dead Poet Society, however, explains such situation that students were in a dilemma. Obviously, Neil couldn't make a choice among fulfill himself or satisfy his family(or we can say, satisfy the society). In the end, he died in mourn.
From my perspective, the improper way of educational mode of Neil’s family is responsible for his death. Neil’s father is so strict and stubborn that he refused to communicate with Neil calmly. In order to give Neil a brighter future, Neil’s father have made great sacrifice. As a result, Neil’s any behavior that may conflict with the goal his father set will be undoubtedly berated by his father. If only Neil’s father knows the significance of communication than the tragedy would be nowhere to be happened.
Of course, there are lots of factors contributed to this tragedy. For example, the week of Neil, the stubborn of Welton. However, the tough attitude of Neil’s father, I believe, had the greatest influence. If he could attach importance to Neil’s thought and talk with him in depth, Neil would not choose this way to express his emotion, which maybe can avoid this tragedy.
From my point of view, there are many factors that led to Neil's death. Above all, I think there are two objective factors. The first is Neil's father's tyranny, arrogance and stubbornness. Neil's father is a typical representative of traditional parents, regardless of their children's feelings for their own purposes. Knowing that performance is Neil's interest, he stubbornly asked Neil to study medicine, and finally forced Neil to a road of no return; The second point is the traditional education system represented by principals. In fact, this kind of education system does not take students as the main body, but takes students as a tool for their own interests, which has greatly hurt students in the teaching process. Secondly, I think subjective factor is also an important reason for Neil's death. It was Neil's own character problem that led to his final tragic fate. Neil was cowardly and timid. Although he had resisted, he finally chose to submit and even ended his life with death. In fact, only you are your real enemy. Despite his deep love for performance, his character makes it difficult for him to choose between chasing his dream and succumbing to authority. Finally, he can only choose suicide, and his ideal is annihilated.
In terms of Neil's death, in my opinion, Neil's father's putting heavy pressure on his son was the biggest murderer. His autocratic education method and imperative way of communication made his son did not dare to express himself, which lead to lack of communication between father and son. For example, when Neil gradually discovered his passion for acting he did not have enough courage to communicate with his family in time. After the show, his father's continuing compulsory actions made Neil feel too depressed and despair to stand any longer, eventally he decided to kill himself, which may be the most brave decision he had ever made.
From my perspective, there are many reasons lead to Neil's death. The main cause is the abuse and the extreme dominance and compel from his father.Others may hold the view that Neil himself are supposed to be blame for his cowardice. Of course. But, what result in this condition? Neil's family environment, mostly his father's arbitrariness, gives rise to Neil's obedience. Another main cause is the sick and toxic education concept in Weiton school, depriving students from being independent , free-thinking and true to himself, which makes every student an obedient puppet without soul. Finally, Neil commit suicide, which seems to be a liberation for him. It is a badly tragedy that Neil combat his father and the sick education in the form of death.
After watching the film, I was so annoyed with Neil's father that I thought he should take all the responsibility for his son's death. Becuace of his arrogance and prejudice, Neil couldn't continue his dream of acting, ininevitably choosing suicide to revolt. But some other factors were also act significant roles in this event. Kitting's ideal can arouse the teenagers' yearning for free, but can't provide for means to acheive, making Neil psychological collapse. What's more, the school ignore the students' psychological health, only focus on their grade, which make things even worse.
In my point of view, Neil' father is the first one who should to be blamed. His father is so stubborn and wants to control everything around him, including his son.In the film, the father command Neil to do what he told him to do.He thinks his son was not an independent man, he was just a vassal of him.Under this unquestionable patriarchy, Neil lost his freedom as an independent individual and at the same time lost his right to pursue his dreams. In the end, he could not bear it and chose to commit suicide.
First of all, Neil's weakness in his character can not be neglected. He has always been avoiding problems rather than trying to solve them. However, from a deeper perspective, Neil's weakness is fundamentally influenced by his family. It can be seen from the film that Neil's father is a stubborn and autocratic man, and Neil has been oppressed by him for a long time, his suicide was a protest against his father's oppression. Of course, the educational atmosphere in the society at that time is also a reason that can not be ignored. Parents and teachers want children to go to a good university and get a good job, but ignore their interests, which causes them to revolt.

In my opinion, the one should be blamed for Neil’s death is himself. Although his stubborn and autocratic father together with the atmosphere in Weldon Academy contradicts the education Keating provided and his fond of acting, which leaves a dilemma to him, leading to his suffering.
While I think, the dominative cause of Neil’s death is his cowardice and blind obedience to Keating. If I were him, I would consider my own life and future in calm, then run away from my father to pursue my acting career, however, I would pledge my coming back after my success, at that time I would plead for my father’s forgiveness and support. But what Neil really does is just escaping from the issue, as a coward. 83-25
From my perspective, Neil's father should be blamed for the death of Neil. After all, Neil chose to kill himself on account of the contradiction between his pursuit of liberty and his father’ autocracy. As Mr. Keating said, this tragedy could have been prevented, if effective communication was taken place. Deepening the understanding of the loss of Neil’s death, Neil’s father’s rigor should be blamed for Neil’s weakness which held Neil back from showing his passion for performing. Though I never doubted his love for Neil, his “love” accompanied with pressure drove Neil away from the vivid life he deadly wanted.88-27
From my perspective,Neil himself,Neil’s father and the school Welton should be blamed for Neil’s death. The reasons are as follows.First of all,the way Neil’s father treat and communicate with Neil had something to do with that. His father was too strict, stubborn and autocratic to make sense of Neil’s true feelings and hobbies.Instead,he forced Neil to medical school. The loss of communication gave rise to the tragedy. Moreover,Neil wasn’t courageous enough to take Mr.Keating’s advice of talking with his father. He had no choice but to commit suicide, defending his love for acting.Last, the pillars of the school(Tradition,Honour,Discipline,Excellence)developed and influenced Neil’s characteristic. All in all,the contribution of the tragedy can’t be simply attributed to just a person or a thing. It’s a mixture of Neil, his father and the school.
Firstly I think that Neil's death stems from his father's suppression. Neil was trapped by himself and Keating simply encouraged him to fight against himself, and the courage to do so. The captain succeeded. (Neil succeeded in expressing himself to his father) The tragedy is that when Neil thought with great joy at the success of the show that his father would finally approve of his acting. What he saw was the cold face of his father, who not only disapproved of Neil's performance, but even tried to suppress Neil more forcefully again. Neil was devastated. He foresaw his even darker future and knew he would eventually be trapped by himself. He could have endured the darkness if he had never seen the sun. Fear and despair of the darkness killed Neil, and the darkness was relentlessly and powerfully pressed upon him by his father. How can we blame the captain, fearful of the darkness, for resenting the brightness of the sun.
Without his teacher he might still have committed suicide one day, sooner or later. Without a teacher he would spend the rest of his days only studying and the impotent sadness of being confronted with something he was interested in but unable to try. He would have become a well-programmed robot.
And the teacher at least let him try the things he was afraid to do and gave him a happy time.
