Ancient Western dragons were guardians and elves, but after the Middle Ages they were demoted to be demons hostile to God.

The Chinese dragon exists more as a national totem. It represents harmony and guardianship. It is a God who guards the peace of China.

Chinese dragon culture is a mysterious culture, representing mystery, auspicious and power.

In western cultures, dragons are giant reptilian-like creatures with fire-breathing wings that are symbols of evil and violence. The dragon in the book of revelation is the devil incarnate in satan.
